Edcor Critical Pathways: your Guidemap to Success

As Steve Jobs said, “Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.” No matter what your organizational goals or missions are, you’ve always got to fulfill them through your people. I firmly believe that understanding the various needs, motivators, and ways tasks can be better performed by your workforce takes you closer to those goals.  After engaging with a group of HR thought leaders about the emerging needs of businesses, we learned that while corporate America provides educational benefits to set up their employees on a path to success, there is a growing need for guided pathways that define what this success looks like for select groups or individuals who are being prepped for their next role within the organization. While HR is good with identifying workforce development and management goals they need their HR partners, like Edcor, to provide defined solutions that will ensure that their employees are on the right growth trajectory.

To this end, Edcor has designed another value-added solution called the Edcor Critical Pathways to cater to the workforce development needs of organizations keeping in mind the critical junctures in each working professional’s career trajectory that requires momentum only education can provide. Critical Pathways ensure that the learners reach their goals most effectively in the shortest time possible. The focus of the program is on the completion and transfer of learning back to the job leading to a higher ROI. The program also helps organizations in workforce planning by building talent and leadership pipelines through learning and development, all while retaining and engaging their high-performing workforce.

Program Differentiators:

  • Focus on completion and transfer of skills back to the job leading to a high ROI
  • Guided Pathway: your map to success
  • Helps organizations in workforce planning and development
  • Helps build a Leadership Pipeline
  • Organizations can upskill on an individual basis or in cohorts
  • Holistic: degree and non-degree programs from accredited schools and educational partners
  • Preferred deals from partner schools enhance cost-effectiveness, especially for cohorts

How it Works:

The program targets constantly evolving and high-potential functions such as Cybersecurity, Big Data and Data Analytics, Project Management, Business Management, General Management, Leadership, Information Technology, Nursing, and Allied Healthcare.

The program offers a host of degree and short-term learning solutions that cater to the high growth potential of Edcor’s Client employees. These programs are offered through partners in the Edcor School Network and other education providers who are attuned to the learning styles of working adults and have shown exemplary success in their pedagogical methodologies. A major differentiator of this pathway is that many of its programs can be offered through accelerated modes at zero cost to Client employees for clients with $5250 in Tuition Assistance since the employer’s annual TA and the scholarships through the Edcor School Network partners cover most of the costs should the Client choose to take that route.

Edcor has identified programs from cherry-picked schools and educational partners that fit into 9 defined pathways. The Client will have the option to tailor the offering based on their unique requirement from a catalog of pre-defined pathways. This holistic offering includes degree and non-degree short-term options, thus opening up a host of opportunities for upskilling cohorts as well as individuals.

Critical Pathways:

  • Leadership
  • Business Management
  • General Management
  • Project Management
  • Information Technology
  • Big Data and Data Analysis
  • Cybersecurity
  • Nursing
  • Allied Healthcare

Each pathway is further broken down into a host of pre-populated programs, courses, and modules. To make this a customized solution, Clients can cherry-pick the pathways that they would like their workforce to go through. Graduate Certs are included in the offering. These offer a chance to acquire specialized knowledge and work on improving the skills needed for a career in a specific field. Client employees can also use the credit-earning and stackable graduate certificate as part of a path toward earning an advanced degree.

Edcor plays a consultative role here in understanding the Client’s requirements and comes back with solutions that will take the Client closer to the upskilling goals.
