Renewal of our Commitment to Excellence

As I was looking out of my office window at the heaps of snow the winter service vehicle was working on, have been, and will be working on day after day during this season in Michigan, a sudden realization dawned on me about the relentless nature of work we all do. Work that seems mundane and routine, but is vital for the healthy existence and well-being of people, systems, organizations, and economies at large. Here at Edcor our busy season and the hard work that goes into it season after season and year after year so that Edcor, our Clients, our School partners, and above all the end-user thrive is one such example of our commitment and relentless work. Those are the things that remain the same with each calendar year. Then what it is about New Year that makes it so big and special? What changes, is the renewal of our energies and commitment to excellence. Each new year brings with it a new roadmap for continuous improvement in our technology, knowledge, and processes, and at the same time strategies to preserve what’s integral to our culture and values as an organization that pioneered Education Benefit Administration in the country more than 40 years ago.  This benefits us and you!

I hope you welcomed the new year wrapped up in the warmth of your friends and family, and are back to work with a renewed sense of purpose and energy. I know we are.

Last year was special as we developed some exciting new programs, and reintroduced some of our star projects to our Clients and partners in our Tuition Assistance service line.

  • We reintroduced our Debt-free Degree Program. Our program was about 8 years old, and one of the biggest ones, with many already taking advantage of it. It was redesigned to help learners fill the skill gaps by obtaining college degrees as well as stackable certificate degrees to make it more holistic based on the latest trends in Higher-Ed.
  • In partnership with Pearson Accelerated Pathways, Edcor introduced credit-earning and stackable Graduate certificates as part of a path toward earning an advanced degree. In line with the educational trends, these programs offer you the chance to acquire specialized knowledge and work on improving the skills needed for a career in a specific field.
  • Edcor’s Critical Pathways Program which caters to your workforce development needs was launched. The focus of the program is on the completion and transfer of learning back to the job leading to a higher ROI.

Our Freedom program created a strategic incentive that helped in attracting and retaining top-tier talent especially as the Student Loan moratorium came to an end and many corporate employees were looking out for employers who cared about their financial wellness. Additionally, Scholarship Administration provided the much-needed competitive edge especially in the Healthcare sector to retain and recruit populations that weren’t using the Tuition benefits or to mitigate the high cost of tuition in this realm.

However, our focus is not just on how great Edcor is performing but also on providing information on the education industry and benchmarking trends to keep you – our Clients – competitive with your education benefit policies and programs.  This year, one of the pivotal moments in businesses across the globe will be about harnessing the power of generative AI as its impact continues to grow. Along with AI, the field of education continues to grow and evolve. The future workplace will transform into a ‘learnplace’. We are ready and want to provide you with the knowledge and tools to lead with strength.
