Adrienne Way, owner and CEO of Edcor, is a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the Michigan and Northwest Ohio Region. The awards program, which is celebrating its 30th year, recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Adrienne Way was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 23 at the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA).
“I am honored and very proud to have been named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award,” said Way. “The past years as an entrepreneur have been nothing short of amazing. The recognition of this award is a validation that Edcor is a dominant leader for our services. The nomination is a validation of Edcor’s hard work and dedication; it is a true testament to the passion and hard work that exists throughout our company.”
About Edcor
Edcor is an outsourced administrator of corporate education benefits for Fortune 1000 companies. In 2010 Way purchased Edcor after 10 years of working there. She has lead Edcor to differentiate itself in the marketplace by recognizing that each client has unique requirements and designing each client’s program specifically to meet those requirements.
Way and the Edcor team recognize that a tuition assistance program is an investment, and Edcor services help each client receive the best return on investment. In quarterly and annual reports, Edcor educates clients about their tuition spend, program utilization, and how they benchmark against other businesses in their industry. This information allows Edcor to make recommendations and clients to make informed decisions about future program development and application.
Way, the Edcor leadership team and account executives continually monitor issues in higher education. This influences the services Edcor develops for clients. For example, student loan debt is a major financial consideration in today’s economy. Adding debt repayment assistance to a tuition program helps businesses be competitive. By demonstrating to their clients how this additional service is beneficial in recruiting and retaining skilled and educated employees, Way has positioned Edcor and the clients it serves at the forefront of creative tuition benefits administration.
